NORTH CASCADES INTIMATE WEDDING

In the wild and wonderful North Cascades National Park, Nikita and Brandon's intimate wedding day unfolded with a touch of nature's unpredictability. We had our hearts set on reaching the top of a fire lookout near Mt. Baker, my all-time favorite hike, to witness these two say their "I dos." But, as luck would have it, a crazy storm hit the night before, causing a power outage and covering the lookout in a fresh layer of snow. Talk about a plot twist! Undeterred, Nikita and Brandon decided to roll with it as far up the mountain we could go. They snuck away for some private vows in the snowy mountains before heading back to Bellingham, WA, to tie the knot in a more traditional ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

The landscapes near Mount Baker in the North Cascades are nothing short of a nature lover's dream, offering an awe-inspiring backdrop that elevates the untraditional and amazing experience of eloping to a truly magical experience. Towering peaks, including the majestic Mount Baker, pierce the sky, their snow-capped summits creating a dramatic contrast against the azure heavens. Lush alpine meadows, dotted with vibrant wildflowers during the warmer months, stretch out beneath the rugged peaks. I cannot rave enough about Rylee!! She is the freaking BEST!! While we were planning she was like a planner, photographer, and best friend all in one package! She was so responsive, made me feel comfortable and prepared. We had an intimate first look and then a small 20 person wedding, and she helped with ALL of it! She scouted locations for our hike, even going there and sending me videos. the weekend of our wedding the weather was NUTS and caused power outages, snow, rain, the works...YET Rylee and her day of coordinator Jess literally handled everything for me from changing venues to organizing guests. She still woke up and hiked with us in the snow, and came prepared with thermal clothes and handwarmers for us. Seriously, she is hands down the BEST!!!! We had sneak peeks literally the next day, like what the heck she is also super woman!
